It is not exactly a secret that Using Water to Boost Health is good for us, but what very few people understand is the fact that drinking sufficient water is not just good for us; it’s a necessity as well. Only quenching your thirst is, unfortunately, not enough to stay healthy, but on the flip-side, if you do manage to make it a habit of staying hydrated each and every day for a long stretch of time, you will begin to see real health benefits as well. Keep in mind that we are not just talking about the general necessity of hydration, but actual, noticeable improvements in one’s health because of the habit.

You Perform Better Everywhere
Now, the term performance is quite relative, but we are talking about comparative performance here. There is practically no limit to the various spheres where you can expect to see improvements in, after drinking enough water and staying hydrated for even just a month.
A lot depends on your physical condition, the kind of activities you are involved in and your lifestyle, but in general, expect to be able to think, work, write, and exercise better if hydration was previously a problem. How it will apply in your particular situation is dependent on the factors mentioned already.
Your Digestive System Will Function More Efficiently

Flatulence, acidity, indigestion, constipation, etc., are more common these days, thanks to the processed foods we are all compelled to eat. On proper hydration, you will notice that your digestive system is just working a lot better than it used to. The reason why it happens and to what degree this can be expected will once again differ from person to person. Nevertheless, fluids just make it easier for everything to move smoothly through the bowels, reducing the chances of something getting stuck.
You Will Lose Weight
Admittedly, just drinking water alone will not make anyone lose weight, but it makes the body more conducive to fat loss when the person is staying hydrated every day. Using water to boost health means that all your weight loss efforts from dieting to exercise will become more effective, just by prioritizing hydration. In other words, if you have even a decent weight loss or fitness program going, you will notice weight loss soon after.
The Sudden Burst of Energy
Anyone who isn’t properly hydrated will probably feel lethargic in the gym. However, after staying hydrated for a week only, the same person will inevitably experience a jolt of energy that will enable them to exercise for longer and with more enthusiasm than before. Even if the person already felt energetic, a sudden burst of energy will be felt even then, provided he/she was somewhat lacking in proper, regular hydration before.
An Increase in Intelligence?
If it sounds too good to be true, it could be! There is no definitive study which shows that IQ has anything to do with proper hydration. However, there is a clear link between drinking enough water and being able to use one’s brain better.
Although hydration may not be able to increase one’s base intelligence, there are studies to indicate that a dehydrated brain will perform a lot worse than a hydrated brain. In simple terms, drinking water may not make you smarter, but as mentioned previously, it will let you use your brain’s available resources in the best way that is possible for you. It could result in any student seeing a slight or marked improvement in their grades as well, provided they were not properly hydrated previously.
How is One Supposed to Stay Hydrated Every Day of the Year?

All that caffeine we consume throughout the day to keep our energy levels up, as we crunch through a tiring day at the office, and the responsibilities of life on a daily basis eventually takes a toll on our body. Now, coffee has a number of positive effects on the human health as well, so we are not against coffee or caffeine in general, but it’s the excess consumption which hurts the body from the inside.
However, it is possible to keep caffeine-related problems to a minimum by just staying hydrated throughout the day. Therefore, if you want to maximize your coffee, without having to worry about the side-effects, hydration is the key to that too.

Hi Everyone,
Is it dangerous to drink a litre of water in 10 mins. I just wondered if it put pressure on organs?
Thank you, Anne!
That’s correct, drinking 1 ltr water in one go may effect the organ, it is advisable to drink water taking small sip. Very nice information shared by you Praveen!
Hi Praveen
Keep up the good work on promoting good health! Drinking enough water is absolutely essential. Every cell in your body needs water to function properly. I would say that drinking water on its own will certainly help you lose weight because it boosts liver function, and the liver is where fat is turned into usable energy. There is something called a fatty liver where it can’t function properly – and drinking more water is one of the ways to help it work better.
Thanks for sharing that drinking a lot of water will allow you to drink a lot of coffee and still stay hydrated. My wife and I are hoping to improve our health and we both feel like drinking more water is something that we can easily do. We’re hoping to find some good water bottles that we can reuse to help remind us to stay hydrated and lower our carbon footprint.
I agree that plenty of water is crucial if you drink a lot of caffeine. My crashes after drinking coffee turned out to be dehydration and I feel much better now I’m drinking more water.
Thanks very much for this very good article. There are many benefits to drinking more water. The biggest advantage is that it reduces the chances of constipation. So our stomach stays light.

Hello Praveen,
Completely agree with your points. It is really important to make sure that your body gets enough water throughout the day because drinking water benefits the body in a variety of ways.
Sipping cold water increases your metabolism and can help with weight loss. About two-thirds of the human body is comprised of water, so dehydration affects most of the body’s functions.
Adequate hydration is a boon to workouts. Drinking water helps you work out longer and avoid muscle cramps. Water helps lubricate joints in the body.
By drinking enough water, really keeps digestive track moving smoothly and it is proven by several studies.
Eventually, thanks for sharing your healthy experience with us.
