Once you are onto his website, do not forget to look into the Free Gifts page for some awesome free downloads of eBooks like “The Real Truth of Online Marketing” and “How to Profit from Private Label & Resale Rights” and a few more. I am sure you will love these freebies!!!

Last but not the least, one should really consider the “Video Challenge” hosted on his website for the month of March, 4 videos in 4 weeks related to Internet Marketing. If you are into creating videos for your posts or even if you are not, this will be a good opportunity to break the ice and get ahead of others. You can go through the post for more details on the same, where Barry has even mentioned some topics that you may choose from.

Barry Wells
1.How long have you been blogging? My blog is 3 years old today.
2.How many blogs do you own and contribute for?I own just the one at present, I do have plans for a second one but they’re hush hush at the moment. I also assist on another blog with their technical side of things.
3.What is the main purpose or objective of your blog?To detail my journey online and in doing so help others over the hurdles they may be facing, as I once did, as well as encouraging others to face their fears and progress online.
4.How many posts do you write on an average per week? One post a week at the moment, but on the odd occasion there has been two.
5.How much time do you devote for your blog on a daily basis?I don’t have a set time allocated to my blog, but if things need doing then I tend to do them as soon as possible. Replying to comments takes priority over my daily activity.
6.How much time do you spend on tracking RSS feeds? To be honest I’m guilty here as I haven’t been tracking them at all of late.
7.What is your favorite social bookmarking site and Why?That would have to be Twitter as it was the first one I joined, is my top traffic source most months and where I met many of my online friends and fellow bloggers.
8.What is your blog’s monthly revenue?I don’t make a lot of money from my blog and certainly not on a monthly basis. I have received payments when I’ve reviewed products but like I say that’s not on a monthly basis.
9.How many page views does your blog generate daily? On average around 22,500 but I’ve just checked today and there have been 20,170 so far today.
10.Name one blog (apart from yours!!) you read every day without fail. There aren’t any blogs I visit on a daily basis. There are a few that I visit every time they publish a new post www.Adriennesmith.net www.dawnkaysblog.com www.sallyneill.com www.ianieba.com www.deeannrice.com www.stevescottsite.com www.basicblogtips.com and quite a few more but I wouldn’t want to fill the page and distract from my answers 
11.What is your blog’s main revenue generator? As I said I don’t really earn a lot from my blog except when I’ve done product reviews and they work well but I wouldn’t like to do them all the time.
12.Do you believe in Alexa rankings for measuring traffic?Alexa rankings are good but for measuring traffic…. Not really as they aren’t current. I’ve started using www.getclicky.com which is excellent as you can track visitors whilst they’re on your sites. I was told about that by Sonia of www.logallot.com which is another great blog that I try to visit on a regular basis, she’s great as well 
13.Do you accept Guest Articles on your blog?Yes I do, but I have certain rules about accepting them and then I only accept them from my regular readers and those that try to get to know through their commenting.
14.Do you believing in spending money on promoting your blog?Yes I do if it’s beneficial to the blog owner, but hands up…. I haven’t as yet as I get my traffic without having to put my hand in my pocket.
15.Do you answer to all the comments on your blog?Absolutely. If a person is good enough to read my content and then leave me a comment it would be rude not to reply to them. Likewise if I go to a blog and see the blogger only replying to their “pals” I won’t bother leaving them a comment and probably won’t visit the blog again. Blogging is about give and take and if it’s only working one way then it’s not in balance and so it’s not for me.
16.How did you market your blog during your initial days to get the readers that you have?Jacinta Dean held the 100 Blog Comment Challenge and I helped her organize & promote that and in doing so I met loads of bloggers. Many of which I’m still in touch with, but more to the point it got me out there blog hopping, which I continue to do today.
17.Any mistakes to learn from and avoid?Allowing spam comments on our blogs. I’ve seen loads of talk lately about comment rules displayed on our blogs. I used to display mine as well, but now I keep the rules in my head and when I see an offending comment I mark it as spam. If people display their comment rules then the spammers will just work around them and make themselves appear to be legit. ALWAYS visit the URL’s of the comments being left before approving their comments.
Not showing our readers the respect they deserve, by not replying to comments.
Not giving our commenters any link love, commentluv is free so use it and you’ll receive comments as long as you put yourself out there.
18.What is your source of new post ideas? My journey online and some of the gems I find along the way. New things I learn I like to pass on to my readers.
19.Is having a “niche” important to bloggers?Yes, somewhat but until you’ve found yours just post about what interests you or what you’re doing online.
20.Any advice to a start-up blogger?Don’t try and blag it like you know it all. Be personal, honest and get yourself in the mix with other bloggers. Don’t ever fear leaving a comment, thinking you’ve got nothing to add to their post or they’re so big and you’re so small. We were all new to blogging at some point so leave your thoughts about the post and if there’s something you didn’t understand ask about that point, proper bloggers will be happy to reply and explain it.
21.Name a Blogger who inspires youAdrienne Smith of http://adriennesmith.net Is my number one blogger. I think she’s a star that shines on people everywhere she goes. She’s so helpful to everyone and is so approachable. I recommend every blogger get over there and learn from her example, like I said she’s a star that shines on everyone.
22.BioI love blogging about my internet marketing journey and the gems I find online. I also have a passion for helping people and have just completed a new product, www.frompassiontoproducts.com , which is an eBook showing people how to write their own eBooks. I also create video tutorials that I place on my blog, www.barry-wells.com and if my readers are stuck on something I’ll create a video to help them (as long as I know how to  ).
I also have a presence on all of the social media sites:

  • Nice to see you here Barry, and glad he’s on your list too Praveen!

A recent acquaintance, but a known figure in the blogosphere, I have always seen Barry on so many blogs that I too visit.

He was indeed kind enough to send a message about the video challenge taking place. I guess such news surely does spread like wild fire and everyone is surely going to be participating- one of it’s kind!!

I haven’t seen the freebies hes offering Praveen, guess would head over at the blog and give it a proper look!

And I couldn’t agree more to your favorite blogger- Adrienne- I guess she inspires most of us around here 🙂

Wonderful to learn more about you Barry, and hope to keep in touch hereon :)Thanks for sharing Praveen 🙂

    •  Hi Harleena,

I’ve been on a messaging mission since Jacinta Dean challenged me to get 100 participants and I’ve been getting plenty of help from others who have helped me get the word out in a numbers of ways, written posts, video promotions and sharing the content with tweets, likes and bookmarks etc.

If you visit my blog Harleena you’ll see the tab for Free Gifts just under the header. I’ll be adding some more gifts in the near future 😉

Adrienne always amazes me by the amount she achieves. I love the fact that she is so approachable and encourages people everywhere she goes, often changing the way we look at something. I often land on a blog that I’ve just come across only to Adrienne has beaten me there and sprinkled some of her magic there.

Thanks Harleena, catch you up again soon.

      Take care,
      Barry

    • Welcome Back Harleena and am glad you liked this feature about Barry. I think you really need to check out all the great stuff he has on his site and do let us know if you are participating in the challenge. Would be the first to view your videos for sure !!!

  • Hi Praveen,

Thank you very much for inviting me to take part in your Naked Truth series, it is an honour to be asked, thanks.

I’m not sure i would qualify for the King of Internet Marketing as I know 100’s of people far more fitting of that title than myself: Maybe the King of the shout out sharers as i do try to share the posts and gems i find on my travels around peoples blogs.

I thoroughly enjoy helping others (as long as they’re trying to help themselves) and will continue to do that.

Thank you for mentioning my video challenge, I’m still on a mission to get at least 100 people taking part and if I achieve that I know I’m going to be extremely busy for the next month.

The purpose of the challenge is two fold: 1st and foremost my aim is to get people creating videos for the first time so as to get them over their fears and any hurdles and encourage them to progress online.

2nd is to get the experienced video creators to demonstrate their skills so as to encourage and educate those following in their foot steps in their online journeys. I also hope that the experienced video creators are able to increase their client and subscriber lists as well as generating plenty of traffic, bringing new readers to their blogs.

So if anyone would like to take part they’re welcome to do so. Alternatively if they could help get the word out about it and encourage people to take the challenge and start creating video.

There’s also a little competition going on with 2 fantastic prizes 😉

Thanks again for inviting me to take part in your Naked Truth series Praveen.

    Take care,
    Barry

    • Hi Barry – It was a great pleasure knowing about you and I appreciate you taking time off to answer my questions.

For what I see and I am sure everyone else here sees, you are the King and we are happy to be in your circles.

Thanks once again for sharing all the information and providing a little more insight into your blogging life.

All the very best for your challenge.

      •  Thanks Praveen, I’ve just uploaded my video for the challenge “How to create PowerPoint presentations” as i hope to encourage and show people how they can create videos in the 3 formats 🙂

  • Hi Praveen,

An interview with the Man himself, Mr Wells.  Nice 🙂

I really enjoy visiting Barry’s blog.  He’s honest, straight-up, is so helpful and has a great sense of humour.  Anyone visiting Barry’s blog will find something to help them on something I sure.

I have a copy of Barry’s latest book ‘From Passion to Products’ and highly recommend it.

Thanks Praveen for interviewing Barry and thanks to Barry for taking the time out.

    Julie

    •  Hi Julie,

Awwww thanks mate that’s very kind of you to say all that, I do try to give as I get (or would like to get) I’m a firm believer that we can only take out what we put in.

I’m glad that you’re enjoying From Passion To Products and hope that you’ve now started your product creation? Remember, Julie, I’m here if you need me 🙂

Thanks again for your kind words Julie, they really do mean a lot mate, thanks 🙂

Catch you up in the week,

      Take care,
      Barry

    • Julie – Thanks for stopping by and leaving your comment.

I am sure if you have already got his latest book, you will be delighted with the content of the same. There is so much Barry has to offer all of us and am glad this medium could bring some of us bloggers together.

      Have a great day ahead.

    •  Hi Vidya,

I look forward to your visit. How would you feel about joining my video challenge this week? Everyone is welcome so please pop over for details 🙂

      Take care,
      Barry

      • Checking it out, Barry. Never done video before, except standing passively, trying to look invisible when we shoot videos of my son performing! Oh wait! I did star in a wedding video! My own, that is!

        •  Hi Vidya,

I have just received your comment on my blog, thank you, and will reply in full shortly.

ha ha stared in your wedding video, very good lol

Your idea for tutorials are excellent, we all need to learn more if/when we can 😉

I’ll reply to your comment shortly, thanks Vidya

  • I was recently introduced to Barry’s blog and yes, I totally love the content he has to offer. What really interests me is the way he handles comments; it is more like conversations!

Great knowing the naked truth about you Barry!

    •  Hi Hajra, Happy Monday 🙂

I’m really pleased that you like the content I offer on my blog, thanks for mentioning it.

As I won’t approve comments like “love you blog or thanks for posting this” on my blog I feel that I should reply to comments with the same rule. ie “thanks for visiting and leaving a comment”.

I do like to reply to each area of the comment being left and think my readers like it……. You do DON’T you Hajra? lol ha ha

Thanks Hajra, are you ready for the challenge?

Have a good week my friend,
      Barry

        • Oh that’s a shame that you’re not taking part. If you’ve never created videos before is there anything I can do to assist you to get started?

Thanks for visiting each entry and watching them Hajra, that’s very much appreciated 🙂

          Have a great day Hajra

          • Not that! I just don’t have the time now..I am doing two freelance writing jobs at the moment and am really busy with personal stuff! I hardly find the time to blog; on my personal blog I just blogged yesterday after like 18 days! So, I feel I can’t take up anything new at the moment. It wouldn’t be fair! 🙂

Thanks for the concern though! If there is anything, I know who to ask! 🙂

    • Hajra – I am sure everyone agrees to the fact that Barry’s comments can be made into books!!!! And i love it when he goes in detail about the post in his comment and explains in and out.

That is what makes him stand out i feel among the crowded bloggers here.
