The 4 Coolest Touch Screen Desktop Computers

It is pretty hard to pinpoint what it is that makes touchscreen devices so cool and hip. Hollywood has been constantly predicting the use of touch screen desktops for as long as computers have existed. Watch movies like Minority Report or tv shows like CSI, and you’d think that the world has gone from the conventional punch cards to the touch screen interface, without the intervening years of utilizing mice and keyboards. While physical keyboards are still hard to give up, the touch screen LCD will be a primary feature for personal computers in the next few months. The debut of all in one computers in the market is an indication of how desktops are quickly adapting to the touch screen interface. Here are among the coolest touch screen computers that you can find these days.

Dell Inspiron One 2320

The Inspiron One 2320 lets consumers get a lot of computer features at a decent price, including a big hard drive, a Blu-ray player, and lots of RAM. Households and offices are slowly discovering the benefits of All In One Computers, and if they continue to be as efficient as the Inspiron 2320, then people will soon see them taking over their desks. The computers 23-inch touch screen tilts back up to 35 degrees. Photos and images look vibrant on screen and music is clear, although a little bass is lacking. The Dell Inspiron One 2320 also comes with touch-enabled apps, including one for operating a webcam. Competitively priced at around $1250, this computer earns a spot in your living room, with its Nvidia graphics, Intel i5 processor, multiple video inputs, a remote control, and a handy TV tuner.

Sony VAIO Series

Sony has finally gone all in on the concept of entertainment PCs with the Vaio L Series of all in one computers. Multimedia files, such as images and videos, look incredibly bright on its 24-inch screen. Equipped with a 1.3-megapixel webcam, the L Series also come with a few touch screen-enabled apps, including a media player. Overall, Sony’s current all in one desktop is a classy and impressive machine, but its high cost and mind-boggling design decisions are likely to keep buyers look for another option.

Samsung Series 7

With a 1.3-megapixel webcam, the Samsung Series 7 can easily lie flat for sketching, collaborating, or playing games. You can now drag Windows program icons to the Touch Launcher and access them with a tap. It took around nine seconds to go through a 15-page long PDF on its 23-inch screen. The screen responded good on taps but didn’t always register flicks.

HP TouchSmart Elite 7320

The TouchSmart 7320 is a standard, budget-friendly all in one computer. It is affordable and performance is alright, but it fails to stand out above the competition. Priced at $879, the HP TouchSmart packs an Intel i5 processor, 500 GB hard drive, 4GB of RAM, Wi-Fi connectivity, and a 21.5-inch touch screen. It also comes with several touch-friendly apps, including one for its webcam. Unlike other all in one computers, it doesn’t have any HDMI ports for peripheral connections.

  • Cool 😉

It would have been better if you had the pics, Praveen (I looked them up and the laptops sure look cool :D).

When I saw your article first, I thought most of ones would be really expensive. But, it isn’t that bad, is it? The price range is about the same for intel ultrabooks, isn’t it? (Isn’t Samsung series 7 part os ultrabooks?)

Yea, for all those gadget-freaks, it is christmas time throughout the year, with such new advancements in technology. Most of us dont end up buying high-end touch screen desktops, however, they do look cool.

      Have a wonderful week ahead.
