I spent the last 4 days reading Darren’s ProBlogger.net and the various articles written by all those full-time bloggers about how they made it big in the world of blogosphere. Reading their personal experiences about how small they started and how they have ended up being professional bloggers was really inspiring and made me wonder Is it really possible to make a living out of blogging!!!!
Well, there are many success stories to prove it is possible, and it all depends on how committed you are to the concept and how much time you can devote for this among your other daily routines. As I realized, the bulk of revenue from blogging comes from affiliate marketing and only a small portion of it came from the various PayPerClick programs (like adsense, chitika etc). At first I couldn’t really get to understand the concept of affiliate marketing and spent more and more time reading articles and trying to make sense out of it. Finally, today I was convinced in the whole program and couldn’t help but register for my very first affiliate program – LinkShare Referral Program.
How did I end up signing up for LinkShare – I was looking at the several affiliate programs recommended by well established bloggers(like Darren, Amit Agarwal, Joel Comm), I zeroed in on ‘Amazon Affiliate Program’ as a good one, but somehow I was still working on something more unique and family oriented. I was browsing through and thought of having a new forum or a blog for DMC Affiliate programs.( DMC being DailyMorningCoffee). So I browsed the web, and surprisingly it lead me to Disney Movie Club affiliate program which was offered by LinkShare. I thought nothing could be as attractive as the Disney programs and started browsing through the other various advertisers on LinkShare. I found many other big names like Buy.Com, TigerDirect, CheapOAir, VitaminWorld, Macys etc. I didn’t need to think more before signing up for the easiest affiliate program as reviewed by many bloggers. Just in time for Fathers Day!!!

Hi Praveen, Which affiliate program did you start first? I have not done much with Affiliate programs, started with click bank but didn’t have much luck with it.
