My first reaction upon reading about this on FastCompany April Edition was “Not another social networking site where we register and forget all about it please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” We have been bombarded with many networking websites which have come up after the Big Bang of FaceBook, and it has been really hard to keep up with all these and how much really does one want to socialize really?? The latest addiction (mostly for women population) is the Pinterest which has been named as the 3rd most popular networking site after FaceBook & Twitter.
I do use Pinterest to Pin all my articles on my blog, but of course the pre-defined categories they have doesnt qualify “Blogs” to be up there among all other Do-It-Yourself and Crafts and Fashion stuff. Nonetheless, I do Pin my posts and should say that there is considerable traffic that end up on my site from Pinterest via my pins. So, no complaints there!!
The Basics Of Lockerz

Grab It (Decalz)
Use the Locker Grab It browser bookmarklet to grab images and videos from any website, or use the Grab It button on Lockerz.com.
What Pinterest called “Pin It”, these people named it as ‘Grab It‘ aka ‘Decalz’, which means one and the same. You see some interesting article while browsing the net, you just GRAB it and post it to one of your “Collections” (or what is called Boards on Pinterest). For every Grab you make, you get 10 points and for every Grab another person makes from your collection of Decalz, you get awarded 15 PTZs. So basically they have got all their basic ideas from Pinterest and just enhanced it a little bit more to allow e-commerce into the site. I am sure the core-idea of the whole concept was to concentrate on the female oriented crowd of Pinterest and when you including “shopping” it just adds up to more female traffic!!!!
FWB (Followers With Benefits)
When it came to being rewarded for your Grabs, they introduced the FWB concept where you can add friends with the option of Grabbing each other’s Decalz and thus gaining more points to shop for the dealz.
