BOSE QUIETCOMFORT 35 II REVIEW

If you are looking for a top of the line over the ear headphones, you definitely want to check out this Bose QuietComfort 35 II Review to give you some first hand feedback about the product.

I ordered this silver colored headphones on Friday and it was delivered on Sunday by Amazon. It’s priced at $299 plus tax which I think is slightly on the higher end comparing all the other great products available from companies like Sony and Beats.

However, Bose stands out when it comes to delivering a great product with outstanding features that can’t be outdone from others.

Design

Bose QuietComfort 35 ii looks exactly similar to the previous generation headphones from Bose, the same plastic build, which is nice to saving weight. Some reviewers feel this is putting them off and it looks cheap compared to other luxury headphones. I would say it is classy and I wouldn’t trade this for any other headphones after experiencing the sound quality.

Also the plastic build helps if you are on calls through the day like how I am. I do not find it hard on my ears and the light weight helps as well.

The headphones also comes with a hard case for travelling, built in small pouches for the charger and the 2.5mm cable to go with it.

The pads look durable and super comfy to wear for longer periods of time. They help in blocking out all the background noise even when the noise cancellation is switched off.

Coming to the controls, it can’t get easier than this. You got the “Smart Speaker” button on the left cup, located just at the right angle to get your thumb reach for it. The right cup has the volume control and the multi-use button to skip songs, go back to previously played song or even the to handle call controls.

Features of Bose QC 35 II

Google Assistant and Alexa compatability are some of the main features of this Bose QuietComfort II headphones.

When you switch on the headphones, you’re prompted to download the Bose APp for your smartphone and this is the only way you can control the settings. You can pair 2 devices max at one time and the headphones are smart to pick the audio from the right device.

The Bose App is simple and straight forward for anyone to use, sometimes need a restart of the app for resolving connectivity issues, but otherwise works seamlessly.

I have configured both Alexa and Google Assistant and just playing around with both as I try to reach my official emails and my Amazon Music via the headphones. So far, it has proved beyond expectation.

Noise Cancellation

I have never experienced this level of NC in any other headsets I have owned. If you are looking for the best noise cancellation wireless headphone, you will make no mistake by going with the Bose QuietComfort II NC series.

There are 3 levels of NC it allows – High, Low & Off. You can configure the “Smart” button to control and switch between these if you want. But I reserve the button to connect to my Alexa for now.

This product shows Bose is the leader when it comes to NC, it does an excellent job of dimming out everything from cars driving by or a baby crying right next to you 🙂

Sound quality is just great, and I would say way superior compared to the Sony or Sennheiser headsets out there.

Battery life is excellent at 20 hours with NC turned on and listening at mid range volumes. You dont have to worry about charging these headphones in the middle of a flight, which is a huge plus for me when I am travelling to India which is a 20 hour flight time.

Verdict

My needs were met more than I expected. I can be on calls through the day without hurting my ears. The Pads are soft enough, looks durable for me, the sound quality if great, I can connect to my smart speakers, play awesome music and listen with zero background noise.

I mean, what else would I want in my headphones. This is it. The only annoying feature is the “notifications” which I really hoped I could turn off. But I can live with that for now.

The Bose QuietComfort 35 II NC is an excellent headphone for travelers and also for people working from home who need to be on their phones through the day. It has a nice balance of features that will satisfy most of the listeners and a noise cancellation that Bose is known for.
