Keurig Iced Coffee Maker is a fast choice when you don’t have time to clean, you don’t require additional steps to ground coffee beans, and you have one of those instances when you simply need coffee. If you’re seeking for the quickest method to make cold coffee and have a Keurig available, here’s how you can create this chilly cup of coffee with a built-in keurig over ice setting. If you want a quick and simple method to make Keurig Iced Coffee, I’ll teach you how.
Why Keurig
Most coffee lovers pick for a Keurig because their major concern with coffee is speed and convenience. These machines, and other pod brewers like them effectively compromise certain characteristics of quality brewing in return for these capabilities and (occasionally) a cheaper price point than their better end rivals.
We understand it, sometimes you simply need to get the job done. And the Keurig approach can absolutely perform this task with minimum fuss on your part. Having a single serve machine on hand might also be useful if your other alternatives can only produce bigger quantities of coffee.
Also point to be noted here is that the cold brew coffee brewing process takes roughly 12 hours and demands preparation ahead before you can enjoy it. So for now, preparing Keurig iced coffee is an option. It’s one method to obtain a cup of iced coffee fast.
Keurig’s only model with an iced coffee setting is the Keurig K-Elite Coffee Maker, which is presently available solely for purchase. But even if you don’t have this model at home, you can still brew iced coffee effortlessly no matter which Keurig model you have.
What You Need to Make Keurig Iced Coffee
- Keurig Pods (2) – I used two pods of Gevalia Medium Roast . You’ll need to brew two K Cups since this will enable the coffee to be stronger vs simply using one pod. Brewing two 6 ounce cups vs only using one pod at the 12 ounce setting will result in a stronger coffee. Due to the possibility of the ice diluting your coffee, you’ll want to have a cup of hot water handy to add to the mug.
- Coffee ice cubes are ideal for this recipe, which calls for 6 to 7 of them. By using them, you’ll be able to prevent drinking coffee that’s been diluted. Adding extra coffee to your drink is as simple as seeing the ice melt away. This is something that must be planned in advance. You may, however, experiment with coffee syrups or condensed milk in flavored ice cubes.
- 1 mug
- 1 big glass
- Your preferred creamer or coffee syrup (optional)
5 Steps To Make Iced Coffee with your Keurig Coffee machine
Step 1 – Setup Your Keurig Machine
Prep for this approach is relatively straightforward. All you need to do is turn on your Keurig, make sure you have enough water, then drop in your K-Cup or My K-Cup. You’ll need to put grounds in it first before placing it in the machine if you’re using the latter.
Step 2 – Prep The Cup For Brewing Your Iced Coffee
There are two alternative variations for this bit. You may brew straight over the ice in your cup rather than first filling it with hot water. Alternatively, you may brew in one cup and serve over ice in another. After the coffee has finished brewing, carefully pour the hot liquid over the ice.
We like the first approach because as long as you use an adequate sized glass, there is less possibility of causing a mess. You also save time by just having to wash one cup. Whether this is your first time, and you’re not sure how much ice to use or if your glass will hold up, go for technique two.
Step 3 – Brew Your Coffee using two K-Cup Pods of your choice
As mentioned earlier, I have used Gevalia Medium Roast K-cups for my cup of Iced Coffee. However you can stick with preference of K-cups. But do brew 2 pods.
You may begin brewing as soon as you’ve selected the cup technique mentioned in Step 2 and the K-cup you wish to use and have selected the appropriate cup size. This step is generally relatively short, so you can go ahead and take your milk or creamer of choice out of the fridge and potter about a little while you wait.
Step 4 – Add Coffee Ice-cubes
If you have chosen the first alternative to brew into an empty cup, you will add the Coffee Ice-cubes into your brew. Else you can opt to add the ice cubes after the coffee has cooled down a bit.
Step 5 – Finish Up & Enjoy Keurig Iced Coffee
Finally, your Keurig Iced Coffee is ready to be enjoyed. You’ll need to add some creamer or coffee syrup of your choice. I strongly recommend Torani coffee syrup. If adding milk, I suggest adding cold milk to help chill down your drink quicker. This will also slow down the rate at which your ice melts.

You may use whatever Keurig machine you desire. But note that if you are brewing directly over the ice, you should not be using a glass cup.
