See the different monuments of Italy

Il Vittoriano: It is a very big mountain of white marble towering over Piazza Venezia, the views from the top are outstanding which can be enjoyed only after getting into the glass lift.

Fontana dell’Elefante: It is the most memorable monument, the smiling Fontana dell’Elefante was built in 1736. The elephant is the symbol of the city with its upturned trunk.

Colonna di Sant’Oronzo: A copperplate statue of Lecce’s patron saint, people like to come here for viewing the art work and also the stunning views.

Arco di Costantino: It is one of the last great Roman monuments, the architecture is amazing and the art works are outstanding. One should defiantly come to this see this monument as it is beauty in itself.

Complesso del Calvario: Built between 1693 and 1742, the place contains a monumental triumphal arch and five small chapels.

Madonna delle Virtù: This place have dozens of caves spread over, the church was built during 10tyh and 11th century and was restored in 17th century. People come here for viewing the great work.

Redentore: Built in 1965, this enormous marble Christ dominates the peak of Monte San Biagio. The place offers great views and is a must to see during the tour.

Roman Amphitheatre: During 2nd century BC, 16,000 spectators were use to sit, with time this monument has gained name for its historical reasons.

Pasquino: This staue is also known as the talking statue as during the 16th century, there were no safe outlets for dissent so people started leaving messages on notes and by sticking it to the statue. Till date, Roman people believe in it and leave messages.
